"If We Could Talk To the Animals"
Nature's Haven
Photograph Album
*Pictures take longer to load, but are worth the wait*

Natures Haven is sometimes home for fawns of varying sizes,
They enjoy the tall grasses of the shady deer enclosure. When they grow, and are well,
they are released as a herd on a non hunting 2500 acres that a local animal lover has generously offered for use.
The young blind fawn shown has had surgery to restore her sight, and was released with her herd.

A hawk with a broken wing...it wont keep this fellow down for long.

Barn Owls, Screech Owls, and other birds of prey, are occasionally occupants of the shelter.

Baby Raccoons look forward to the time they will see freedom of the wild.

An incubator is ready in the event someone brings in a cache of eggs.

Babies wait on their meals...but not patiently *S*

Squirrels have been successfully treated and released from the shelter.
Squirrels cannot be given lots of medications that other animals can receive as they are technically rodents, and some medications can kill them.
